Estado Público III, el poder de la representación, se constituye a partir de una práctica artística colaborativa extendida a la comunidad. Se planteó pensar y repensar las representaciones de educación y de nación, a partir de las Escuelas Palacios construidas en Chile entre 1916 y la década de 1920. Para desarrollar se invitó a académicas, a estudiantes de 5º a 8º año y a sus maestros y maestras de cinco escuelas rurales del archipiélago de Chiloé. A pensar en el deseo republicano de educación igualitaria para todos/as y su representación en la arquitectura. Se invitó, asimismo, a explorar en sus sueños, sus anhelos y sus fracasos en la constitución de la nación y a releer la Escuela Palacio desde la escuela rural, agenciando un espacio de creación intersubjetivo, plural e igualitario. Cada comunidad desarrolló un espacio arquitectónico, un Espacio para leer y un Espacio para jugar en la isla de Apiao, un Espacio para esperar en la isla de Quenac y un Espacio para el arte en la isla de Meulin y un Espacio para tomar sol en la isla de Chaulinec.
Public State III, the power of representation, is based on a collaborative artistic practice extended to the community. The aim was to think and rethink representations of education and nation, based on the Escuelas Palacios (Palace Schools) built in Chile between 1916 and the 1920s. Academics, students in grades 5 to 8, and their teachers from five rural schools in the Chiloé archipelago were invited to participate. The aim was to reflect on the republican desire of an equal education for all, and its representation in architecture. The participants were also invited to explore the dreams, aspirations, and failures in the constitution of our nation and to reinterpret the Palacio Schools from the perspective of a rural school, creating a space for intersubjective, pluralistic, and egalitarian creation. Each community developed an architectural space: a Space for Reading and a Space for Playing on the island of Apiao, a Space for Waiting on the island of Quenac, a Space for Art on the island of Meulin, and a Space for Sunbathing on the island of Chaulinec.
